The Secondary International Symposium on Bioinformatics and
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Bioinformatics is an emerging science that covers the knowledge of biology, data processing techniques and computer sciences, and is deeply involved in the experimental design and implementation, and analysis of the complex data generated from these biological experiments. Meanwhile, the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) calls for in depth utilization of molecular biology technologies as well as bioinformatics, as exemplified by the employment of microarray and subsequent data processing techniques in the research conducted in a number of TCM research fields.
To promote the modernization and globalization of TCM research and to facilitate the cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration among international investigators, we cordially invite scientists with expertise in bioinformatics, metabolomics, genomics, systems medicine, systems biology, and computer science to participate this symposium in Shanghai, China.
